Lars Fogh Mortensen

Lars Fogh Mortensen is an expert on circular economy, production and consumption at the European Environment Agency (EEA).

Lars is the author of numerous EEA publications and scientific articles on circular economy, wellbeing economy, sustainability, textiles and plastics. Most recently, he is the expert behind EEA work and publications on wellbeing in Europe’s circular economy and on scaling circular business models.

He is an economist from the University of Copenhagen and has over 30 years of international sustainability experience from working at the EEA, the OECD and the United Nations Headquarters. He has been a member of the Club of Rome since 2024.
